Welcome to the Manly-Warringah Choir

The objective of the Manly-Warringah Choir Inc. (MWC) is to regularly perform predominantly classical choral concerts of a high standard in the Manly, Warringah and Pittwater local government areas in order to broaden the range of cultural activities available to the Northern Beaches community while providing an artistic and social outlet for choir members. Usually, the choir is accompanied by an orchestra.

In a typical year the choir presents three major public concerts in the local area, as well as performing at a broad spectrum of community events.

MWC’s performances provide an opportunity for talented young singers and musicians to further their careers.

Our choir consists of between 50 and 70 members of all ages and abilities, and our audiences range from 200 to 400.

Dr Carlos Alvarado is our  very talented professional Musical  Director and Conductor with an international reputation. We are accompanied by noted orchestral musicians ranging in numbers from 5 to 50, and often perform with up to five soloists.

The choir rehearses on Thursday nights at the Collaroy Plateau Public School from 7.30 to 10 pm in a very friendly atmosphere.

New Members are always welcome. No auditions are necessary. If you are interested, or would like any other information regarding the choir, please contact Pat Hughes on 9918 9170 or click here to send an email.
